Playing with Fire

Fire show tonight was off the hook, time to catch some sleep – 5:20am am and I am ready for some pillow time – more to come.

Here is what I wrote last night – been in slow mo getting it up on blog not even had second coffee yet and it’s already after 3 pm, but we are going to Pedro’s in a couple of hours to meet the gang so I have to get busy.

2 Pauls, Lara and I chatting, chatting and napping in her living room after a great party. Carole Db and Ryan met up at our house and made it as far south as the Belikin Distributor before it started to pour down with rain. We hung out there for a bit and had a pre-party. John was there and we met Arquel a new fish delivery connection. Stayed about 45 minutes and decided to make a break for it. The plan was go see if the roads were good enough to get to Lara’s house, and thankfully they were – it was a nice drive, saw lots of crabs.

When we arrived Paul, Andie-Lee and Peter were there keeping Lara company. We hung out and munched on chips salsa, Db’s home made bread dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar, shrimps with lime and cilantro and chocolate cake – what a feast. After the rain had stopped for a few more people arrived, and we were ready to get the fire show started.

It was so cool watching our friends practice their fire show, especially Lara for her first time with fire. Interesting to find out that Andie-Lee who we did not know but had managed to get to the party because of Cindy also did fire play and had brought her gear. Cindy had called us from mainland while we were in immigration line and asked us to track them down via Josh at Seaside Realty. When I stopped on the way home told him about the party, he knew right away where the bright pink house was and said he would pass along the message – more San Pedro synchronicity in action.
