Flash back to Sunday – We really needed a quiet break from it all and wanted to try somewhere new but not go to far way. I could not think of a better choice than The Phoenix Resort – a luxury resort within walking distance to downtown San Pedro. Checked in a bit after noon and I was super excited to see what our room would look like after having seen the one that Joey Stevens and One Caribbean Weather crew stayed in during San Pedro Lobsterfest. You can view the Phoenix video on One Caribbean Weather travel Belize section of their site.
As we were about to enter our suite and get the tour we got served welcome drinks in complimentary Belikin glasses – a nice souvenir of our stay. They make a super delicious rum punch it had colorful drink umbrellas and bits of ginger in it yum. We are so ready to relax – nothing beats laying in a nice cool room in a big king size bed under a cozy duvet staring at the ocean. Saw kids playing in the water at a near by dock and watched a kite surfer doing his thing for a while – now that’s my kind of reality tv.
Monday morning – what a way to start off the new work week – both still totally blissed out at the Phoenix. Woke up early and had a nice hot jacuzzi bubble bath – a rare treat in San Pedro. Next came our regular morning iced coffee’s at the dining room table and set up our lap tops – Phoenix offers free wifi. Got some work done and decided it was time for more jacuzzi tub – priorities are important.
Around 10:30 we were tidying up and not wanting to but getting ready to go when I got word that we had a 2pm check out. How perfect because not long after it started pouring rain so we went back to bed to watch tv and relax – total heaven.
It’s Tuesday morning now and I am back at my desk working away to finish this post and wishing I could go back in time to yesterday or forward to a future stay.
I wanted to leave you with some unique things about the about The Phoenix that set it apart ….
They offer Complimentary cell phones to all guests with $10 starting credit – iPads – Wiis and dvd’s are available upon request.
The Phoenix has 2 pools open 24 hours and both are saline treated.
For those who like to keep up with their workouts The Phoenix offers complimentary fitness Center with free weights – 2 bikes – elliptical machines – universal gym and more.
They also provide Aveda products – ipod docking stations in the bedrooms – a washer and dryer so you can easily return home from vacation with clean laundry – even an ironing board and umbrella.
Thanks to Stacy for providing me with the above pictures. Interior shots are predominately Conch Creative and exterior mostly Matt Lankes and Demian Solano. I took pics during our stay and will post them in the near future.

San Pedro Belize Resort

Wow, looks like a beautiful resort! There has been an awful lot of nice stuff goin on down here in San Pedro. If only airfare wasnt so expensive maybe more people could enjoy it.

I agree we need a good airfare sale to happen.
